Sound & Tone
The mahogany body and bolt-on maple neck with rosewood fretboard give this Sun Valley a thick midrange backbone with the tight attack and snap of a 25.5" scale, while the EMG Retro Active Hot 70 in the bridge delivers a hot, aggressive output that stays articulate under high gain. The Sustainiac in the neck position adds infinite sustain and harmonic feedback on demand, turning long-held bends and melodic lines into sustained singing tones without an amp cranked to the edge. Paired with a Floyd Rose Special locking tremolo, 24 X-jumbo frets, a 14" radius and a thin 'C' neck strung with .009–.046 sets, it's aimed squarely at hard rock and metal lead work, dive-bomb-heavy playing, and shred-oriented soloing.
Schecter Sun Valley Super Shredder FR S – Gloss White
The Sun Valley Super Shredder FR S is a high-performance shred machine built around a thin 'C' maple neck and mahogany body designed for speed and sustain. This model combines a locking tremolo system with active and passive pickup options, making it suited to modern metal, progressive rock, and extended-range playing styles. The Gloss White finish delivers striking visual presence while the bolt-on construction keeps the instrument responsive and direct.
Playability & Hardware
The 25.5" scale length and thin 'C' neck profile with 24 X-Jumbo frets provide fast fretboard access and wide note spacing for technical passages. The Floyd Rose Special 'Hot Rod' locking tremolo (Schecter exclusive variant) anchors tuning stability through aggressive whammy use, while the Floyd Rose Special locking nut at 1.625" width ensures consistent pitch even with full tremolo dives and pulls.
Tone & Electronics
The guitar pairs an EMG Retro Active Hot 70 humbucker at the bridge with a Sustainiac neck pickup, offering both aggressive rhythmic response and feedback-sustain capabilities. A 2-way on/off Sustainiac switch lets you toggle the neck pickup's sustain mode independently, while dual volume controls and a 3-way pickup selector provide full tonal flexibility. The double 9-volt clip-in battery compartment powers both active systems.
