Sound & Tone
The Sunset-7 Extreme pairs a nyatoh body and flamed maple top with a 5-piece maple/rosewood neck and ebony fretboard, producing a focused, resonant voice with plenty of sustain. Its 27" scale keeps the low 7th string tight and articulate for downtuned riffing. The Schecter USA Sunset Strip bridge pickup delivers aggressive, high-output crunch with clarity suited to metal and progressive rock, while the Pasadena neck pickup adds smooth, warm tones for cleans and leads, with the 5-way switch blending options in between. The hardtail bridge, 24 stainless steel frets, and flat 16" radius support precise, fast lead playing and extended-range rhythm work for left-handed players.

Frequently Asked Questions
What skill level is this guitar suited for?
The Sunset-7 Extreme is built for intermediate to advanced and professional players who are comfortable with 7-string extended-range instruments and modern techniques like fast picking, djent rhythms, and technical leads.
Is this guitar good for genres beyond metal?
Yes. While it's optimized for metal, progressive rock, and djent, the warm neck pickup and versatile 5-way toggle switch make it capable across hard rock and modern styles; it is not recommended for jazz, blues, or folk applications.
What makes the 27-inch scale different from a standard 6-string?
The extended 27-inch scale provides optimal tension and clarity on the low 7th string while maintaining responsive feel on higher registers, ensuring tight low-end punch without sacrificing playability.
What pickups does this guitar use?
It features two USA-made Schecter pickups: the aggressive, high-output Sunset Strip in the bridge position for cutting leads and rhythms, and the warm, articulate Pasadena in the neck position for smooth cleans and detailed tones.
What's included with this guitar?
The guitar ships with Ernie Ball 7-string (.009–.062) strings; a hardcase is sold separately but compatible with the Schecter 1622 SGR-Universal model.
Do I pay sales tax on this order?
Sales tax is collected only on orders shipped to California; orders shipped to any other US state are not charged sales tax at checkout when you buy direct from our website. At a typical 7% rate that is an estimated $77 less at checkout than the same listed price on a marketplace, which collects sales tax as the facilitator in most states. Buyers remain responsible for any use tax their state applies. Free US shipping and 30-day returns are included.
