Sound & Tone
The swamp ash body keeps the voice open and lively with a firm low end, while the 5-piece maple and walnut neck and Richlite fretboard add stiffness and attack that translate into tight note separation, even in lower tunings. The Schecter Brimstone humbucker pair pushes hard with cutting upper-midrange clarity, holding definition under heavy gain rather than blurring into mush across the seven-string range. It suits modern metal rhythm work, progressive rock passages that demand clean articulation, and extended-range riffing where each string needs to speak clearly; the extra jumbo stainless steel frets support fast legato and wide bends with a slick, consistent feel.
Schecter USA Custom Sunset Extreme 7 Stabilized Top Guitar
This USA Custom Shop seven-string gives you the extended range and aggressive styling that defines the Sunset Extreme line. The stabilized burl top delivers visual sophistication while the responsive playing platform is engineered for fast, articulate technique across both standard and deeper tunings. Built to exacting standards in Schecter's domestic facility, this instrument combines premium materials with professional-grade electronics for modern metal, progressive rock, and extended-range applications on stage and in the studio.
Build & Materials
The Swamp Ash body with stabilized burl top combines structural stability and acoustic properties with distinctive visual character that commands attention under the lights. A 5-piece Maple and Walnut neck paired with a Richlite fretboard and extra jumbo stainless steel frets means you'll navigate deeper tunings without sacrificing playability across the standard range—essential when you're pushing the limits of your tuning on a live stage.
Playability & Electronics
The responsive playing platform cuts through in a live mix with fast, articulate technique and professional-grade hardware supporting both clean definition and high-gain saturation. The Schecter Brimstone HH Pickup set delivers cutting clarity and output authority across the extended 7-string range, with configuration engineered specifically for the modern high-gain environment where tonal authority matters.
