Description
Seymour Duncan Saturday Night Special Gc Pickup Set
The Saturday Night Special Gc set delivers articulate, vintage-informed tone with a modern edge, bridging classic PAF character and contemporary clarity. These pickups respond dynamically to pick attack and finger dynamics, offering smooth sustain without excessive compression. Built on the same Leesona winding machine that produced the original P.A.F.s, this set combines historical manufacturing tradition with refined specifications tailored for contemporary players.
Tone & Voicing
The neck pickup's 7.90k output yields warm, articulate midrange with clear note definition that cuts through a mix without muddiness, while the bridge pickup's 9.75k output provides enhanced presence and snap without brittleness—essential for both solo passages and rhythm work on stage. Alnico 4 magnets contribute to the balanced tonal palette—responsive to dynamics without excessive magnetic pull, making these pickups equally reliable in clean, driven, or high-gain applications whether you're tracking or performing live.
Construction & Wiring
Four-conductor wiring enables series, parallel, and split configurations, giving you tonal flexibility for different gigs and set lists, while the maple spacer and short mounting legs ensure secure, stable installation in most guitar cavities—critical for reliability on the road. The included 4C shielded cable minimizes noise and maintains signal integrity throughout your signal chain, keeping your tone clean from guitar to amplifier.
