Takamine G Series Acoustic Guitars for Players

At LV Guitars, the Takamine G Series is the line we point players to when they want an acoustic that is ready for the stage. The CE models come with Takamine's TK-40D or TP-4TD preamp, so you can plug straight into a house PA or an acoustic amp. Body choice shapes how each guitar feels in your hands: a GD dreadnought gives you the classic strummer's size, while a GN NEX cutaway is easier to wrap your arm around. GF FXC small-body cutaways offer another comfortable option for seated or long sets.

Beyond the usual shapes, the series has a GJ jumbo, a GY New Yorker parlor for fingerstyle and couch playing, and a GX 3/4-size for the road. Classical players get GC nylon-string models, and bassists can find GB acoustic-electric basses. The GD74CE 12-string, for example, suits players who want a shimmering stage sound.

Tiers run through the 20, 30, 50, 70 and 90 numbering, with solid-top models in the series, so you can choose a first gigging guitar or step up as your playing grows. Many models come in left-handed versions, which matters when lefties often have few options to try. Prices range from about $349 to $1,399.
