This guitar excels in hard rock, metal, thrash metal, and drop-tuning applications. The EMG 81/85 pickup pairing and dark tonal character are optimized for aggressive playing styles; it is not designed for jazz, folk, or country.

The Blood Eagle ships with an EMG 81 in the bridge and EMG 85 in the neck, both active pickups known for high output and tight response. The electronics include volume, volume, tone controls, and a 3-way switch; battery compartment is a 9-volt clip-in design for easy access.

The guitar ships setup ready, but the WA-VW-2 case is sold separately. Make sure to budget for a quality case to protect it during transport and storage.

The set-neck mahogany body, ebony fingerboard, 22 x-jumbo frets, and Zakk Wylde 'C' neck profile (0.79" at the 1st fret, 0.93" at the 12th) provide a thick, responsive grip.
